Everything Jersey City Festival Cancelled Until Further Notice

The last annual Everything Jersey City Festivaloriginally scheduled for Saturday, May 18th, 2013, was cancelled. For the full story, read the Central Avenue SID Management Corporation’s press release.

Since its inception in 2008, the annual Everything Jersey City Festival has been organized by the Central Avenue SID on the third Saturday of May. The CASID had hoped to move forward with the 6th annual festival but certain setbacks have made planning the next festival impossible.

The Annual Everything Jersey City Festival brought “life” to the Heights neighborhood with food and music. With an estimated 40,000 visitors in attendance, the last Everything Jersey City Festival was again a huge success.

Central Avenue’s business community wants to revive the Everything JC Festival but they need your help! Email Mayor Steven Fulop and members of the City Council to say the following:

“Jersey City residents demand the City of Jersey City continue to invest in its commercial districts and main street neighborhoods. Keep them clean and help CASID bring back the Everything Jersey City Festival by matching the efforts of each SID with public funding. The cost to the City will be approximately 1/10th of 1% of the nearly $500 million city budget. This minimal investment in basic municipal services is absolutely critical to keep our city moving in the right direction.”
