CASID Launches Winter Beautification Program

CASID Launches Winter Beautification Program

Jersey City, NJ – The Central Avenue Special Improvement District (CASID) is proud to announce the launch of its Winter Plants Beautification Program, running from December 2025 through February 2026. This seasonal initiative builds upon the success of the Fall Pilot Beautification Program, which saw outstanding participation from Central Avenue business volunteers who “adopted a tree” with a $100 contribution.

Through the combined support of the LAP and UEZ Grant programs, CASID expanded its beautification efforts to install holiday plants in 122 tree beds throughout the district. The program aims to enhance the visual appeal of the corridor, foster community pride, and reduce illegal dumping by activating underused streetscape spaces.

Beautification Program Highlights:

  • Installation of holiday plants in 122 tree beds along Central Avenue in The Heights
  • Improved corridor aesthetics during the winter and holiday season
  • Discouraging illegal dumping on tree beds by beautifying frequently affected areas
