CASID Installing New American Flags

The Central Avenue SID (CASID) Board of Trustees is proud to announce the permanent installation of 12 new American flags in the Central Avenue business district. While flags have been hung in the area in the past, recent banner installations have prevented the CASID from maintaining flag displays in recent years. But working with The American Flag Company, the CASID has found a way to utilize the six banner poles on Central Avenue to display 12 new flags, clearly visible to both pedestrians and drivers visiting the Heights’ main street.

“We felt it was about time to get these new flags in place to honor the veterans who put their lives on the line to fight for our country,” said CASID President Michael Yun. “We live in a great country and it’s nice to have a reminder of that when you’re walking down a classic American main street like Central Avenue.”

The installation of the flags is planned to coincide with Flag Day, which takes place this Saturday, June 14.
