2013 CASID Annual Meeting of the Corporation set for Wed. April 17th

Jersey City, NJ – On Wednesday April 17, 2013 the Central Avenue Special Improvement District Management Corporation (CASID) will be conducting its Annual Meeting of the Corporation scheduled for 6:00 PM at the CASID Office (366 Central Avenue 2nd Fl, Jersey City).

This meeting is open to the public but, due to space constraints, guests are strongly advised to contact the CASID (201.656.1366) to confirm their attendance. All CASID members (commercial property and/ or business owners on Central Avenue between Manhattan Ave. and North St.) are invited to join the meeting for a presentation, discussion, and vote on CASID’s proposed Fiscal Year Budget (FYB) July 1, 2013- June 30, 2014. Upon approval from the general membership present at the meeting, the proposed budget will be forward to the Jersey City Municipal Council for a public hearing and adoption.

Please note, there is NO increase to this year’s SID tax assessment collection.

“At our annual meeting, the CASID Board of Trustees will answer all questions regarding our operation and the budget before a vote is taken,” said CASID President Michael Yun. “All CASID members are welcomed to join us as we continue to push forth on Central Avenue and the Jersey City Heights in the incoming fiscal year. We all feel the financial strain on our national economy and will continue working towards the better days ahead.”

Also, a vote will be taken for our Bi-Annual Board of Trustee Election. All candidates who have accepted a nomination are on the official ballot. Additional nominations can be made at the meeting only if the nominee is present at the meeting and willing to accept. The seven candidates receiving the most votes will serve the next two (2) year term (July1, 2013 – June 30, 2015).

A copy of both the proposed budget and vote-by-proxy ballot for the Board of Trustee Election was mailed to each member of the CASID on Friday March 29, 2013. Members who cannot attend the meeting can complete the election ballot, have it notarized, and mail it in. Additional copies of the budget and voting ballot are available in the CASID office.
