The Central Avenue Special Improvement District (CASID) will continue its Local Arts Program (LAP) in 2023 thanks to the announcement of a grant by the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs. In 2022, the CASID utilized LAP funds to hire local artists who refreshed three traffic boxes, added a new wall mural, and exhibited at CASID’s Holiday Arts Fair on Central Avenue. The LAP is made possible by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a division of the Department of State, and administered by the Hudson Count Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Thomas A. DeGise, Hudson County Executive, and the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners.
